Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3

sent mummy and wai po off at the airport on wednesday .they were off to shanghai. it was at the newly opened terminal 3. it sure was nice.there were nice shops and f&b outlets around. to name a few there are 2 tcc at terminal 3,a coffee club, coffee bean,wang cafe, and a few others where u can still chill out with friends even if its not to sent someone off.

they checked in at the first class lounge area and there was an exclusive first class departure gate and immigration which they were goign through.thanks to papa tan who has been flying for 10 over yrs due to work and attaining the status of solitaire thus getting the same perks if u are the spouse. which was great. they get to go to the first class lounge after the immigration .saw lots of shops at T3 thus tourist who are flying off or waiting for transit got lots of shops for them to shop around.f&b inside are good to for them. so never get hungry or bored.there's Harris the bookstore there.

had breakfast at the food court with papa and auntie J at T3.then papa was off to work and me and auntie J explore around T3. i find that its a very nice place to walk around.the design ofthe buidling is unique too. see the pics and u will know what i mean. what do u think? ;p

had steamboat at ray & crystal's place that day for a chinese new yr reunion dinner.the usual suspects were there execpt for PS & Yong. Been eating and eating throught this whole chinese new yr period my god.guess have out on some kilos.time to go on a diet programme.

little josh was there and boy was he busy.ample space for him to raom.played with oranges by throwing them to the ground,posing with it.playing the keyboard like he was born to play with it.look at the pics and u will know what i mean (like a pro). of course some things he slammed himself onto the galss panel which he cried but he was ok after awhile.and continued walking,playing,eating his way through,sure loved to eat.will not resist food.which is very good.and he only drinks water from his winnie the pooh water bottle and no other cups or what so ever like a grown kid.

somehow little josh liked the cartoon ratatouille( the rat that can cook).he was drawn to the show like a magnet.amazing.even his parents were surprised that he loved it and they intend to get the movie for him to watch at home. he enjoyed himself that night. as fo the adults we gorge ourselves on the food had really good fresh prawns, and many others and ray made chicken rice which was lovely.we had yusheng and for desserts we had ben and jerry as well as hagen daaz ice cream.how sinful we are. after resting and chatting we ended up gambling a little.just only for the new yr played black jack and texas poker which was fun.

till next yr,we can only relive the events through our gatherings.

Movie :PS I LOVE YOU

A film by hillary Swank (milliondollar baby) and Gerard Butler(300).Went to watch this movie recently. A very nice movie. Gerard is the next kid on the block as he is really awesome and hot in the show!!:p

Holly has always depended on her husband Gerry for advice whom she loved a lot. one day when he passed away due to brain tumour she was devastated and did not know what to do. One thing to note she designed a special urn for her dead husband which was very unique and classic. Gerry has planned letters to be sent to her in all ways after her 30th birthday.and even planned a trip back to ireland where they actually met. the whole process is to slowly let holly let him go and not cling on. so sweet of him to think of it and knowing holly so well that in the letter he actually predicted what she is going to say or feel on what he is going to say in the letter.

finding your soulmate is something we will not know but then somehow u find that he/she is the one u want to spend the rest of your lives with.

Went to J.CO at Raffles City B1. This is a new donut kid on the block. There is a new section at B1 of Raffls city with new shops and resturant wher J.Co is located. They serve very nice donuts of different flavour. Had the oreo and choco loco donut to try with a cup of ice chocolate and a cupuccino. the 2 drinks that I've ordered are nice too. Frankly it was really good. The donuts are very addictive. Its soft not like any other donuts that I have tasted. Decided to buy half a dozen back home.For assorted donuts it cost $7. the small cafe is nice and when it comes to queuing for the donuts its not as bad as there are a few staffs to serve u so it was not as bad.

13 Feb 08 Ren Ri

It was Ren ri in the chinese lunar calendar on 13 Feb 08. Had a dish which has 7 different kinds of vegtables which was said to be a must. Had steamboat with my family.mum prepared the food and cooked the vegtables and the soup for the steamboat. Of course we had the usual Lo Hei (Lao Yu Sheng). was a very filling dinner.

St Valentine's Day

Everyday is a Valentines Day.

That is what i feel about the above picture is that even during winter when its snowing and all flowers are still blooming and lovers are still happy. See the couple sitting on the bench? Do you agree?

So how did Valentines day come about?

This day is named after the bishop Valentine in the roman empire. The empire at that time thought that unmarried men made better soldiers thus he passed a law tht young men would not marry in 270AD.Valentine took pity on the ostracized soldiers who were not permitted to marry or see their sweethearts. Valentine perform the secret marriages for this young men and their their sweethearts. He was soon found out and jailed. And finally excuted on Febuary 24 270.

After his death, Valentine then became what is known as a “Patron Saint.” Some considered him the spiritual overseer of an annual festival in which young Romans would distribute cards of affection to those they wished to formally see. This festival was held each February 14. There are Valentine cards in museums worldwide that date back to 1415.

Enough said on the above, I actually received a Romeo and Juliet DVD by Leonardo and Claire Danes 2 cds by pussycat dolls and norah jones from a friend as a gift in my post on Tuesday. 2 days earlier which was a really nice surprise.

Google has always made their Google trademark different whenever there is a special occasion.See the below. its a good feeling when u see an old couple still so loving walking hand in hand and even holding love shape balloon along the beach by the sunset.This is what i see and feel on the trademark.

Went to Clarck Quay with Yujun aka jean who has been my friend since sec 1 who is my buddy's cousin. She came over and picked me up from home and we decided on the place. was feeling a little bit hungry so we had a little bite at a cafe where they really served very good coffee.Yujun had hazelnut latte and I had vanilla cuppuccino.It was good as its not too sweet.need not add any sugar to the drinks as the taste is just nice. I had a chicken sandwich which comes with a small portion of potato salad.The sandwich was very good. and its $6.price was pretty ok. Yujun decided to have an oatmeal cookie which was a huge one.$2.really much bigger than a normal cookie. we people watch and took some pics at the same time. We walked around Clark Quay and it was bustling on the 3rd day of CNY.young family bringing their little kid out and tourists. took some pics around clark Quay. ambience was good and still can feel chinese new yr atmosphere around the place.

While walking around we saw Barfly it said no cover charge. I heard about this place so thought that we check it out if its not good we will leave.Somehow we were attracted by the place when we walked up the stairs to the place. The decor and the chandelier were very pretty. it wasnt as crwoded and we decided to park ourselves at bar and we had our drinks there. I had non alcoholic drinks while Yujun had some cocktails. Frankly speaking the price of the alcohol is resonable and they taste good. They serve dinner till 10.30pm after that its drinks and fingerfood. the music played by the DJ is pretty good too. nice place to go with a few girlfriends to chil and catch up as u can still talk. The staffs there are friendly as well.Its ladies nite from tue to thurs. 1 for 1 drinks .


so ladies we shall go there for a girls nite out.

Chinese New Yr Feb 08

Sending the pig and usher in the Year of the Rat.Wishing all a Happy,Healthy and Prosperous Ratty Year. Its a year where Mickey and minnie will be making the headlines thoughout the Year.

Eve of Chinese new yr is the usual reunion dinner with all my uncles and their family,my grandma and my big auntie.This year it was at my 3rd uncle's place. We had the traditional Lao Yu Sheng, followed by the food. This yr 3rd uncle ordered the food thus we need not bring any food to his place.

On the day of chinese new yr is the usual where all my uncles and aunties including my cousins from my dad's side will come over our place to visit us. so it was lind of bz as we exchanged oranges with one another and serving them drinks and goodies. after that we all head down to my grandma' s place to have lunch which is our traditional henghua noodles which is homemade. not sold outside. in the afternoon head over to visit my grandma of my mum's side and visiting of relatives of my mum's side. 2nd day of chinese new yr uncles and aunties with my cousins of my mum's side came over in the morning for breakfast b4 heading over to our relative's place for lunch where my grand uncle and aunties were there. after that went aorund visiting my uncles and auntie's house. very tired after all the visiting of the 2days but it was fun cos was chatting and teasing my cousins.

overall it was great cos its always nice to have the whole clan gathered together.

Finally uploading the pics of Jay's concert. It was good as its my first time to Jay's concert. Was there with my cousin eugene. Thought there wasnt any tix as it was a sell out concert but a friend of mine manage to get a pair for me which I am very grateful to her. Her friend was unable to make it so sell the tix to me.

During the concert, Jay played a few instruments. drums,guitar,piano,guzhen.very talented.

He did some stunts with the Chinese yoyo(Che ling), the chinese fan,knuchucks.

The Cheography of his dance and so on are very good. He sure put in a lot of effort into the concert.In fact he was down with a flu but then he was professional to perform the whole concert throughout without a glitch thumbs up!

Some of the pieces he played on the piano includes an jing, zui chang de dian ying,tui hou.

He played fa ru xue on the gu zhen.

I bought Jay's latest concert dvd/cd package.very good to watch the concert at home on dvd.
