Mint Museum of Toys @ 26 seah street

Went to the Toy Museum last Friday with my 2 cousins, ed and eug. Its located at 26 Seah Steet. Not very far from Raffles hotel. Nearest MRT will be City Hall for those who want to visit the place. There was a 1 for 1 due to the museum week at all museums in Singapore.entrance fee was $10 each but due to 1 for 1 its only $10 for 2 ppl. There are 5 storeys but its not a very big place though as u can see the outlook of the place below. The collection of toys mainly belonged to the owner. There will be more to follow on the pics taken at the museum so stay tune. In the mean time, enjoy the 1st part of the pics and relive your childhood days.;)

We started from the 5th storey down. We were greeted by Tin Tin and Popeye the sailorman who eats spinach and becomes a muscle man haha!!

This Bruce Lee Toy is something which I played before with my cousins. We had a chinese Zombie and a Bruce Lee. Had fun playing with it.It actually had 2 lever which u can throw punches by pressing it down from the back of the puppet. a very old superman soft toy

Royal Copahagen @ Takashimaya Level 2 and GSS

Met up with dodo on saturday for lunch at cuppage before we embark on our shopping stint. first stop was centrepoint. Went to Marks and Spencers. Did not buy anything for myself but dodo did. Hey all gals out there good bargain on the undergarments. Worth buying. Go check it out. Next, on to mphosis..boy was there lots of ppl but not as bad as the one at taka. Slippers and shoes are at 70% off!!! clothings are off up to 70% as well. but did not find anything i fancy.dodo bought a pair of slippers for less than S$8!!! ladies the sale for mphosis ends on 3 jun.so while it last do check it out u might get lucky to find something that you want.
went to look at gap but nothing much on bargain. then we continue our walk straight to main orchard. went in to taka. walked around but did not see anything I fancy. Wonder where all the crowd are from. tourist in spore just for the Great Singapore Sale!! ( GSS). will probable check out the sale during the weekdays. when the there are lesser crowd
I manage to get something for my mum for her bday which is round the corner. Happy with that!! got it at Isetan.

Tired from the shopping dodo and I decided that we need to take a break and we decided to have tea at Royal Copahagen located inside Takashimaya level 2 its next to the burberry counter. directly outside is the bags and wallet area of all brands. ( PS . The pics are taken using my mobile phone which is not as clear). Cutleries used are very esquisite which I really like. Was on the verge of the thought of bring it home haha!! This place was voted as the best place for the ladies to catch up over a cup of tea with some cakes. The blueberry cheesecake if worth a try as it taste pretty good. the green tea cake was suppose to be good but did not get a taste of it as there was none left. The high tea set includes a choice of tea or coffee, 2 choice of cakes, and 2 open sandwhiches ( one is the rolled salmon with egg and the other is small shrimps ). They do have a daily meal set which has a few choices of mains, a soup, dessert of the day and coffee/tea.

TAMPOPO @ LIANG COURT B1

Was at Tampopo which was located at Liang Court B1 last sunday for dinner. Had pretty good ramen and sashimi there. The noodles are imported from hokkaido. The sashimi are from freshly flown from tokyo's Tsukiji fish market. Every Tuesday and Friday these seafoods are checked by ministry of environment to ensure the freshness of the food. Their tonkatsu are very good. The mixed fried plate is pretty good. You get to taste tempura, chicken, pork, and some others which I cant recal. Try the tonkastu.

Above Kyushu raman. The soup base was cooked by cooking the pork bone for 2 days very tasty. The pork is once big piece. unlike the typical ramen elsewhere which has a small piece of pork.
The spicy ramen. quite spicy but not just the chili taste. its like the laksa of japan. You can choose a middium or large bowl. There are other soup base for you to chose from.
Another spicy noodles using the pork bone as the base. Power!!. Shiok.
Birthday boy ed. happy with the ramen and the sahimi. His favourite is japanese food. So brought him to Tampopo. A satisfied 18 yr old boy.!!;)

Recently had duck noodles with some side dish. This is a stall mended by a couple and their mum.

The first side dish, sotong are sliced into thin slices. Very tasty.

2nd side dish, fried tofu. The thai sauce is pored over the fried tofu. OiiShi!!

3rd side dish, char siew. Barbecued pork!! BBQ till a little chared meat. 很好吃.

The duck skin was very crispy which they gave it to my brother for free.They do not serve the duck skin as a separate dish. The skin is known to ve very oily and high cholestrol.

Shoes

The first pair of slippers from Keen this is a very good pair of sandal/slippers. It protects the big toes and its anti-slip. Recently bought it from world of sports.

2nd pair is my mizuno sneakers which was bought a yr ago at least but still looking good and serving me well. In fact mizuho have good sneakers,very comfortable.

3rd pair is a pair bought recently in japan at a factory outlet in tokyo. The factory outlet is in Makuhari. This pair cost around S$26 which is not very expensive. Its quite comfortable as well.
