Missed posts

Is time to catch up with my other posts and happenings in the month of July. I attended a wedding on 30 June and one on the 4 July. The latter is an Indian wedding, the bride is my poly friend from yr 1. something different. It was a buffet dinner with all the indian food and there is entertainment show which makes it a a bit like a D&D. Kumar and his gang was there to entertain us. Frankly speaking he is very good in his entertainment and that sure has a very slim body from the back you might actually think that is a girl's body.

My friend from hk was here for 3 days so brought him around such as to sentosa and even had dinner there with another uni friend, went to fullerton hotel for tea and desserts. Brought my friend to chinatown to buy some local food stuffs, had dessert there, met up with another uni friend for lunch and went up her office for a while and when we were there, we sure like the working view there. The view was boat quay not blocked...will show u the view later on.

Ubin Continued

Hey!! Finally I am able to continue my story of ubin. From the pictures you have seen I suppose you can visualise how its like over there. Its a great place to show the young kids on the kampung life and how the kampung and old houses are like...in fact there are still ppl living there and selling cold drinks to visitors on the island. The view of the Quarry there is great. Along the way you see mud skippers, birds, monkeys flowers such as hibiscus. The island is like a nature reserve with lots of tress and creatures for you to see. Not forgetting you will get to see the horseshoe crab at the right season and you can only see it from Chek Jawa. Check Jawa is only open during seasonal periods. You have to book the walkabout tour of chek jawa which is free. You can start booking starting september, You can call or go to the website. We were not able to go there as its closed due to the season.

As we cycled along we saw some singlish such as take a break lah, y u so like that..!!!pretty colourful too...some of the plants planted are crepe ginger, curry leaves, rambutan, durians, tapioca, pomelo, aloe vera, moses in a cradle and lots more...Its very educational...

Thereare 9 temples on the island. There is the german girl temple, thai buddhist temple, a chinese temple, etc...

There are chalets on the island which you can book to stay there for gatherings..students go on the island for team building as well as camping. There is a NPCC campsite over there too.

lots of tall coconut trees on the island, durian tress as well. one thing to add if you want to have seafood u can try it on the island its not very expensive and an all new environment to try the food. I have not tried it but its worth going for the next time round. We spotted an army of ants which is not very sightly, one of the big ants has huge fangs on it which i think they are the fire ants. These ants can actually eat u up alive.

ok enough of the ants...but if you like nature or would like to get away from the city you would want to go there and relax and check the place out.
